Details: Farm Share distributes fresh food free-of-charge to families, children, seniors and individuals in need throughout Florida. The local non-profit partnered with Lyft, the driving service, to deliver food to those unable to reach the distribution sites. Details: The Summer Food Service Program provides meals and snacks to eligible children ages 18 and under during the summer months of June through August. Food is also distributed for individuals with disabilities, over the age of 18, who participate in school programs. Funded by the USDA and the Department of Education, sites are located throughout Palm Beach County in low-income neighborhoods. Parents picking up food kits without their child present must bring identification for the children. Meal kits will not be provided to parents who don’t bring their child or do not provide proper identification. Sites will distribute seven days’ worth of food to each eligible child once a week.
