Each week, the state receives new doses from the government, and more vaccine locations are being added.
South Florida seniors eager to get COVID-19 vaccines are beginning to have success, but it takes determination, patience and a little luck to land coveted appointments. Each week, the state receives new doses from the federal government, and as they arrive, more locations are being added.
Severe winter weather across the United States has prevented the shipment of vaccines. In Florida, delays in delivery of the coronavirus shots have led sites like Publix to cancel scheduling of new appointments, although people who have already scheduled their vaccine are not expected to be impacted.
Here is a list of places where you can sign up for a vaccine, even though your appointment may be scheduled a few weeks out. Spots open as vaccine doses become available.
