UCF coach Gus Malzahn will have another familiar face on his roster after former Auburn and Colorado State wide receiver Nate Craig-Myers announced he was joining the Knights as a graduate transfer.

The former 4-star prospect out of Tampa Catholic was part of Mazlahn’s 2016 recruiting class, appearing in 15 games over three seasons for the Tigers.

“I would like to thank CSU for giving me the opportunity to represent their program! As I turn the page of this chapter! I would like to enter a new one in my life! I will be finishing my college career at University Of Central Florida! #UCF #GoKnights,” Craig-Myers posted Saturday on Twitter.

Craig-Myers averaged 17.9 yards per catch while at Auburn, amassing 394 yards and four touchdowns. He transferred to Colorado State in 2019, where he finished with 397 yards and 29 catches in 12 appearances.

He becomes the second former Auburn player to reunite with Malzahn, joining running back Mark Antony-Richards, who announced his decision to transfer to UCF last week.

The addition of Craig-Myers helps bolster a UCF receivers group that lost Marlon Williams, Tre Nixon and Jacob Harris this offseason. The trio combined for 1,838 yards last season.

UCF has produced a 1,000-yard receiver in three of the past four seasons: Tre’Quan Smith (2017), Gabe Davis (2019) and Williams (2020).

Redshirt junior Jaylon Robinson, who emerged as a legitimate deep threat, becomes the go-to receiver in 2021 after finishing second on the team with 979 yards and six touchdowns. Nine of his 55 catches were for at least 40-plus yards.

Also returning is junior Ryan O’Keefe, who took on a larger role last season, finishing with 391 yards and three touchdowns. Tight end Jake Hescock, who is taking advantage of the one-time NCAA COVID-19 waiver, is also back.

Amari Johnson is the only other receiver with a catch last season.

The coaching staff also benefits from a pair of transfers in Dionte Marks and Brandon Johnson.

Marks, who landed at UCF last season from Florida, wasn’t eligible until the bowl game and briefly saw the field against BYU.

Johnson, a graduate transfer from Tennessee, has appeared in 33 games for the Volunteers with 969 career receiving yards.
