Selena Gomez to host vax concert

Backed by an internatio­nal concert hosted by Selena Gomez and headlined by Jennifer Lopez, Global Citizen is unveiling an ambitious campaign to help medical workers in the world’s poorest countries quickly receive COVID-19 vaccines.

The anti-poverty organizati­on has announced the musical event — “VAX Live: The Concert to Reunite the World” — with the goal of enlisting corporatio­ns and philanthro­pists to raise $22 billion for global vaccinatio­ns.

The concert, which airs May 8 on ABC, CBS and FOX as well as on iHeartMedi­a radio stations and YouTube, will also showcase the Foo Fighters, Eddie Vedder, J Balvin and H.E.R.

“This is a historic moment to encourage people around the world to take the COVID-19 vaccine when it becomes available to them, call on world leaders to share vaccine doses equitably and to bring people together for a night of music in a way that hasn’t felt possible in the past year,” Gomez said in a statement. “I can’t wait to be a part of it.”

Jagger, Grohl drop song: Mick Jagger and Dave Grohl have teamed up for a hard-rock pandemic anthem called “Eazy Sleazy.”

“It’s a song that I wrote about coming out of lockdown, with some much needed optimism,” Jagger said in a statement Tuesday. “Thanks to Dave Grohl for jumping on drums, bass and guitar. It was a lot of fun working with him.”

For the song and video, Jagger recorded at home while Grohl was in the Foo Fighters studio.

Song, Culkin welcome Actors Brenda Song son: and Macaulay Culkin, best known for their respective roles in “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” and “Home Alone,” announced the birth of their baby boy Monday. Dakota Song Culkin was born April 5.

“Mother, father and baby are all healthy and happy,” according to a statement from Culkin’s publicist. “Says the new parents, ‘We are overjoyed.’ ”

Twitter was abuzz Monday with astonished reactions to the baby news, as many were unaware Song, 33, and Culkin, 40, were a couple at all.

Ford, Pitt among Oscar presenters: The Oscars are enlisting A-list stars such as Harrison Ford, Brad Pitt, Halle Berry and Reese Witherspoo­n to help hand out statuettes. Other presenters include Don Cheadle, Renee Zellweger, Regina King, Joaquin Phoenix, Rita Moreno, Laura Dern, Zendaya, Angela Bassett, Bryan Cranston, Marlee Matlin and last year’s best director winner, Bong Joon Ho, the show’s producers said Monday. The Academy Awards will air April 25.
