Richard M. Skelly, 76, of Boca Raton, FL passed away on Saturday March 13, 2021. Richard was born in Queens, New York, on August 14, 1944, to Nicholas Skelly and Theresa Skelly. He is survived by his sister Denise Heinemann; his daughter, Danielle Skelly Beringer; his son, Ryan Skelly; and his son, Jonathan Skelly. He was loved by his eight grandchild­ren - Jack Beringer; Emerson Beringer; Addison Skelly; Sienna Skelly; Hunter Skelly; Charles Skelly; Samuel Skelly; and Jacob Skelly.

Richard was a highly successful executive & internatio­nal management consultant in New York, where he held VP leadership roles at Bertrand Frank, Pem-Kay, McGregor, Sublistati­c & he was the President of Kenmill. In 1985, Richard & his family relocated to

Boca Raton, FL where he acquired & significan­tly grew an independen­t hearing healthcare business, Allied Hearing Centers, which he then successful­ly sold upon his retirement in 2009. Richard served as President of the Florida Society of Hearing Health Profession­als & was a key leader throughout his tenure.

In addition to his business career, Richard was deeply involved in community efforts. He was an active parishione­r and contributo­r to Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church, and a leader for over 40 years in various philanthro­pic groups & serving his community. Richard deeply impacted and touched the lives of many people through his mentorship, generosity, and influence. He had a great love of travel & food, and was known as a terrific storytelle­r...with a repertoire of good jokes that were the envy of most. He was a devoted & loving father, husband, grandfathe­r, uncle, brother and friend... who was always there for those he loved, whenever they needed him most.

A funeral mass will be held for Richard on April 23, 2021 at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Boca

Raton at 10:30am.

In place of flowers or gifts, please make a donation to Food for the Poor, or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital... both of which were meaningful to Richard throughout his life.
