Here’s what will be open and closed in Broward, Palm Beach and MiamiDade counties on Memorial Day, May 30, 2022.
South Florida
◼ Most banks will be closed. Post offices will be closed; there will be no regular mail delivery. Stock markets: NYSE, Nasdaq and Bond Markets will be closed.
◼ Most federal, state, county court, governmental and municipal offices will be closed.
◼ Tri-Rail will operate a Weekend Schedule. To find train schedules, call Tri-Rail customer service at 800-874-7245 or visit tri-rail.com.
Broward County GOVERNMENT/ SCHOOLS
Public schools, colleges and universities will be closed. The Circuit and County courts and the Administrative Office of the Courts will be closed.
SERVICES
Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Center will be closed. In the event of animal attack or bite, call 911. For lost or found cats or dogs, call 954-359-1313, ext. 9273. The Broward County
Landfill at 7101 SW 205th Ave., Fort Lauderdale, will be closed.
◼ Florida Department of Health in Broward County: all offices and health centers will be closed.
◼ There will be regularly scheduled garbage pickup.
ENTERTAINMENT
◼ The county library system will be closed. Customers can visit broward.org/library or download the Library’s free mobile app, BCL WOW, to search the online catalog, place holds, download books, movies and music and renew selected materials.
◼ Broward County regional and neighborhood parks, nature centers and natural areas will be open with the exception of Deerfield Island Park and the Target Range at Markham Park, which will be closed per normal operating schedule.
TRANSPORTATION

Palm Beach County GOVERNMENT/ SCHOOLS
◼ Public schools, colleges and universities will be closed.
◼ County courts will be closed.
SERVICES
◼ In unincorporated Palm Beach County there will be regular collection service.

◼ The county library system will be closed.
◼ County parks administrative offices, facilities and programs will be closed.
TRANSPORTATION
◼ Palm Tran: Buses run on a weekday schedule, administrative offices will be closed.
Miami-Dade County GOVERNMENT/ SCHOOLS
◼ Public schools, colleges and universities will be closed.
◼ Eleventh Judicial Circuit will be closed.
SERVICES
◼ There will be trash collection as regularly scheduled.
ENTERTAINMENT
◼ The county library system will be closed.
◼ Parks: administrative offices and programs of Miami-Dade regional and neighborhood parks, nature centers and natural areas will be closed.
