NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE BAHIA MAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT
A Public Hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of Fort Lauderdale, in the Broward Center for Performing Arts, Mary N. Porter Ballroom, 201 SW 5 Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312, on December 5, 2023, at 6:00 P.M., or as soon thereafter as practical, to consider an ordinance to establish the Bahia Mar Community Development District (CDD). The proposed CDD is located west of Seabreeze Boulevard, south of Hall of Fame Drive, east of Intracoastal Waterway, and north of Harbor Drive in the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as shown on the map below.
The proposed CDD is designed to provide a mechanism for the financing of community infrastructure, services, and facilities, along with ongoing operations and maintenance for the proposed CDD. The development plan for the lands within the CDD includes approximately 15.98 acres. The development plan for the proposed lands within the District includes the construction of a hotel, condominium units, park and open spaces, promenade, parking garage, and retail, commercial and office spaces (the “Development”). All are authorized for inclusion within the District.
Any and all interested parties may appear at the time and place specified or file written support for or object to the establishment of the CDD with the office of the City Clerk via email at dsolomon@fortlauderdale.gov, or to the City Clerk’s Office, 1 East Broward Boulevard, Suite 444, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301.
Any person wishing to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at such hearing will need a record of the proceedings, and, for such purposes, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is made.
