- By JOSEPH GRANT Editor

The Nolan Commissioner’s Court met on October 26, at 9 a.m., in the County Courthouse Sweetwater.

The Commissioners October 13 meeting minutes were approved without any edits or changes.

As there has been rain, the burn ban was not reinstated and thereby not placed into effect.

The Commissioners approved the transfer of property as stated on the agenda.

Sheriff David Warren gave a short presentation on the purchase of BOSCH DVR’s for courthouse security camera systems. Purchase and installation through YourWay Computer Tech Team out of Courthouse Security Funds. There are thirty-two cameras and they are not in one hundred percent working condition as the ports are failing and described as “pretty much gone”.

By going with Your Way, it would save money in the end. The total quote was $6,300.64 for five (5) BOSCH video DVR’s and includes setup and hard drives by YourWay Computer Tech Team, which is the county’s IT vendor. Items will be paid for out of the Courthouse Security fund. This was approved.

The Commission approved the purchase of a manlift. This would be split five ways between the Commissioners and the Nolan Country Sheriff’s Office.

The total cost of $4,750 for a 2013 Genie would be split. The manlift would also be delivered free. It was agreed that the lift would be kept at the NCSO to be used by any of the five entities.

Reports from the Department Heads were received from the Tax Office, the Ag Extension Office and Veterans Services. At this juncture, the Court adjourned to pay claims and line item adjustments as requested by the County Auditor.
