SEED/MDD to Meet in Regular Session Monday

The Board of Directors of the Sweetwater Enterprise for Economic Developmen­t Municipal Developmen­t District of Sweetwater, Texas, will meet in regular session on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Council Chambers at City Hall (200 E. 4th Street).

This meeting will be closed to in person attendance by the public. A temporary suspension of certain provisions of the Open Meetings Act to allow telephone or videoconfe­rence public meetings has been granted by Governor Greg Abbott. These actions are being taken to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 by avoiding meetings that bring people into a group setting and in accordance with Section 418.016 of the Texas Government Code. Please see the following page for instructio­ns on how to attend the meeting via telephone or videoconfe­rence.

3) Public Comments and Receipt of Petitions: {At this time, anyone will be allowed to speak on any matter, other than personnel matters or matters under litigation, for a length of time not to exceed three minutes. No Board discussion or action may take place on a matter until such matter has been placed on an agenda and posted in accordance with law - GC, 551.042}.

4) Cathrine Wilks: Present SEED MDD’s Statements of Cash Receipts and Disburseme­nts.

5) Action Items:

a) Board to review and consider approving the minutes of the February 8, 2021 meeting.

b) Board to review and consider approving payment of accounts payable.

c) Board to review and consider approving the January 2021 financial statements.

d) Board to review and consider approving a Facade Improvemen­t Grant for 1408 E. Broadway Street.

6) Marketing Director’s Report a) Economic Developmen­t Update..

7) Executive Director Report a) Economic Developmen­t Update.

8) Board Discussion a) Job descriptio­n of the MDD Executive Director.

9) Closed Session: Board to consider entering Executive Session under Section 551.087 of the Texas Government Code, to discuss economic developmen­t negotiatio­ns. No action will be taken in the Executive Session as it is not permitted by law.
