July summer sports camp schedule

Sweetwater Lady Mustang All Skills Team Volleyball Camp Dates: July 18-19

This Sweetwater High School camp for players in grades 9-12 will be held at the SHS gym. The camp will be led by Wylie High School volleyball coach Shay Cox.

The cost is $50 per player including a shirt, with registrati­on forms turned in to coach Miller or Mendez at strength and conditioni­ng by Wednesday, July 13.

Players need to send cash only with the registrati­on form. Coach Cox will hold sessions from 9 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m.

Campers will work on footwork, passing, serving, transition, hitting and blocking and will also be pushed to perform at a higher level with a focus on building team chemistry.

Sweetwater Lady Mustang Softball Camp Dates: July 20-21

This camp will be held at the Jerry Collins Complex. The focus is fundamenta­ls such as catching, thowing, hitting and base running. Sessions are 8:30-10:30 a.m. for grades 1-4 and 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for grades 5-8. The cost is $40 per camper. Registrati­on by July 15 guarantees a T-shirt. Mustang Basketball School Dates: July 18-29 on Mondays, Wednesdays

and Fridays

This is at the SHS gym for boys who are in grades 1-6.

Sessions are from 3-4 p.m. for boys in grades 1-3 and from 4-5 p.m. for boys in grades 4-6. The cost is $15 at the door each session. Mustang Football Camp Dates: July 25-27

This camp is at Mustang Bowl. The first session is from 8-10 a.m. for students entering grades 3-6 and the second session from 10 a.m.-12:15 p.m. for grades 7-9. Cost is $20 per camper. All checks are payable to Sweetwater Football. At the camp basic football skills, teamwork, character and leadership skills are covered. Each camper receives a camp T-shirt and campers may sign up on the first day or bring a registrati­on form to the field house.

Roscoe Collegiate Basketball Camp Dates: July 25-26

This is from 4-6 p.m. each day at the Roscoe High School gym led by Roscoe’s basketball staff,

The camp is for girls and boys entering grades 1-8 and there is no cost, plus a free camp T-shirt, for those who pre-register before July 10. The camp covers fundamenta­l skills, games and basketball concepts with hot shot and free throw contests and more.

Awards will be given each day of the camp and registrati­on at the door of the Roscoe High School gym will be available for those who do not pre-register.
