Sports camp schedule

Sweetwater Lady Mustang Softball Camp Dates: July 20-21

This camp will be held at the Jerry Collins Complex. The focus is fundamentals such as catching, thowing, hitting and base running. Sessions are 8:30-10:30 a.m. for grades 1-4 and 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for grades 5-8. The cost is $40 per camper. Registration by July 15 guarantees a T-shirt.

Mustang Basketball School Dates: July 18-29 (Studens will report Monday, Wednesday

and Friday only)

This is at the SHS gym for boys who are in grades 1-6. Sessions are from 3-4 p.m. for boys in grades 1-3 and from 4-5 p.m. for boys in grades 4-6. The cost is $15 at the door each session. As an addition to the hour of skill work, each boy will get a workout to do at home for homework. To sign up, contact Coach Grantham at Evan.grantham@sweetwaterisd.net.

Mustang Football Camp Dates: July 25-27

This camp is at Mustang Bowl. The first session is from 8-10 a.m. for students entering grades 3-6 and the second session from 10 a.m.-12:15 p.m. for grades 7-9. Cost is $20 per camper. All checks are payable to Sweetwater Football. At the camp basic football skills, teamwork, character and leadership skills are covered. Each camper receives a camp T-shirt and campers may sign up on the first day or bring a registration form to the field house.

Roscoe Collegiate

Sports Camps Dates: July 25-26

There will be camps for basketball, football and volleyball on the dates listed.

All of these camps are free of charge. The Roscoe basketball camp for girls and boys entering in grades 1-9 will be held from 4-6 p.m. each day at the Roscoe high school gym.

The volleyball camp held at the Roscoe gym (grades 1-9) and the football camp at Plowboy Field (for grades 2-9) will be from 7-9 p.m. Pizza will be provided from 6-7 p.m. for those attending more than one camp.
