BETHEL ASSEMBLY OF SWEETWATER

Psalm 150:1-2 - Praise the Lord. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens. Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness.

Bethel Assembly of Sweetwater is located at 1611 Hailey Street. Our services are held each Sunday at 10:30AM. We have a nursery for children 0-3 and Kingdom Kids ages 4-12 each Sunday. We provide donuts, homemade breakfast snacks, coffee, and water in our greeting area until church starts. Please come early, eat, and visit with us.

The last three Sundays our sermons have been focused on Worship. Our Pastor, Carter Edmondson will continue the worship series this Sunday January 22. On Sunday, January 29, we have a special message/testimony time with Carter giving his amazing testimony of healing and restoration in his life. Carter gave his testimony at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas a few years ago and several rodeos since. However, Sunday the 29th, he will add to his testimony the struggles and blessings that have happened over the last 3 years and his time of being pastor of Bethel Assembly since 2014.

BROADWAY BAPTIST CHURCH

Random Acts

Have you ever been in such a good mood that you get on someone else’s nerves? I mean, it seems the world weighs so many of us down every day that they days of good moods are long gone. So, when someone comes around singing “Zip a de do da,” we cannot stand it!

I try to be in a good mood most of the time. However, it has been difficult in recent years. I do not intentionally attempt to be the one getting on other’s nerves, but I do want to share joy (and especially the joy of the Lord) with those who seem down and defeated by the world.

This is why I try to pay attention to who is around me. The other day I saw a lady with a cart of cases of water and soda. I thought she might need some help loading them in her car. So, I lent a hand. It didn’t cost me anything, just a few minutes of time. And, I hope that the RANDOM ACT made her load in life (literally) a little lighter that day.

While it is true that most of us are blazing through the world on our daily mission, it would be nice if we would slow down long enough to perform a RANDOM ACT of kindness. Our world needs it. Our neighbor (near one is the biblical definition) needs it. Let’s be honest, we need it too. For, it does our heart good to be kind to our fellow man.

It’s the kind of neighborly thing Jesus encouraged us to do when He told the story of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:2537. This story teaches us that most of us see the needs around us. However, not many are willing to do something about those needs. Could that mean that we are missing out on a blessing? Could be! It could also mean that someone else’s struggles and mood remains in a bad place when we could have been a blessing to them. So, let’s determine to pay attention to the possibilities of RANDOM ACTS of kindness in the days ahead!

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH Summit Series on Revelation

This year our Summit Series is a study of the book of Revelation. This is series led by Dr. Ken Lyle. This curious book is often misunderstood, ignored, avoided, and the list goes on. FAITH HARVEST FULL GOSPEL CHURCH

400 Alamo Street Sweetwater

Happy fall from all of us at Faith Harvest Church. The seasons are changing and change can be a good thing, especially if you are changing for the good. Change you say, no way not me.

Most of us don’t like change but change can be good if it is positive steps forward.

Many are stuck in discouraging and dead cycles. I believe that Jesus still wants to rescue everyone out of them.

I can say from my own personal experience that Jesus makes everything new and he also refreshes our souls. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

So if you are stuck in discouraging cycle I would encourage you to cry out to Jesus for help. Ask him to show you new things to do for him. I believe you will feel a new well and a freshness as Jesus beings to make things new in your life. May the love, joy, and peace of God be in your life today and everyday as you learn to trust him more.
