BETHEL ASSEMBLY OF SWEETWATER

“But the LORD has been my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge”Psalm 94:22

In uncertain times it’s good to be standing on something that’s certain and proven. God is the ROCK that cannot be shaken. Pastor Carter Edmondson Join us this Sunday to find refuge from the storms of this world. Our services are 10:30 AM on Sundays. If you can’t make it to worship with us in person just yet, please tune in to KXOX 96.7. We are also on YouTube at this time for those who can watch the services anytime. We are not meeting on Wednesdays but plans are being made to start meeting then ASAP.On Sundays we have children’s church, Kingdom Kids, meet during the same time as our regular services meet in first in the Fellowship Hall and then in separate age appropriate classes after worshipping Kingdom Kids are for ages 4-12. We also have our nursery open for ages 0-3. We will have hot coffee and donuts ready before Sunday services, so please come early and fellowship with us if you can.

Pastor Carter began a series of sermons titled ‘CONNECT, CULTIVATE, AND CARRY ON’ last Sunday.

John 15:5 - Jesus said, “I AM the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, will bear much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.’”

It really does matter what you’re connected to. #letsabide #letsconnect. OUR REDEEMER LIVES !!!

BROADWAY BAPTIST CHURCH

Get Activated

As an avid golf watcher, shocking I know, I was humored a few years ago at a statement Tiger Woods made about why he had to withdraw from a tournament. He famously said, “My glutes aren’t firing!” For this reason, he was having back spasms and couldn’t manage to finish the tournament round he had begun. So, he hopped on the golf cart, and went home.

I suppose what he was trying to say was that he was unable to get the muscles in his legs to do what they were supposed to do in order to take the pressure off his back. Something had to give. I’m no doctor, but that’s what it sounded like to me. Maybe he needed to spend more time that day stretching so all of his leg muscles could GET ACTIVATED.

According to God’s word, His mercies are “renewed everyday” for us according to Lamentations 3:22-23. That is, God activated His mercy (not getting what we truly deserve) every day and shines it on our lives. That might be better than the sunrise!

I know I need to be reminded of this. The world can be an awfully gloomy place. I need to know that God is activating His compassionate care on me each day. He knows what I need when I need it.

The question is: Do I really know this? Am I spending time each day “Getting Activated” by His mercies? If He is going to renew it every day, shouldn’t I have a longing to receive this great gift?

So, what am I going to do to make this happen. First, I’m going to be aware of His promise and pray it back to Him. Next, I’m going to be thankful for the provision each day, just like when I thank Him for food provided each day. Then, I’m going to GET ACTIVATED by allowing His mercy to flow through me and get firing! Will you join me?

FAITH HARVEST FULL GOSPEL CHURCH

400 Alamo Street Sweetwater

Happy fall from all of us at Faith Harvest Church. The seasons are changing and change can be a good thing, especially if you are changing for the good. Change you say, no way not me. Most of us don’t like change but change can be good if it is positive steps forward.

Many are stuck in discouraging and dead cycles. I believe that Jesus still wants to rescue everyone out of them.

I can say from my own personal experience that Jesus makes everything new and he also refreshes our souls. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

So if you are stuck in discouraging cycle I would encourage you to cry out to Jesus for help. Ask him to show you new things to do for him. I believe you will feel a new well and a freshness as Jesus beings to make things new in your life. May the love, joy, and peace of God be in your life today and everyday as you learn to trust him more.
