Members of Woman’s Forum and Library staff gathered Tuesday, February 21 to mail letters about Library Tag Day, Wednesday, April 5. Local businesses and community members were informed of this donating opportunit­y to support our library. The County-City Library continues to be a vital part of our community. The number of patrons continues to grow and every part of our library is used on a regular basis to serve the people of our community. The Library would like to Thank You for your support in continuing their programs, Let’s Talk Books Club, and helping patrons with copies, faxes, emailing, job searches and more. The Library is the heart of our community and we appreciate all the continued support! Artist of the Month: SHS and SMS

The Sweetwater High School and Middle School Art is on display for Youth Art Month in the Community Room at the County-City Library. The Art & Creative Materials Institute (ACMI) created Children’s Art Month in 1961 as an event to emphasize the value to children from participat­ing in visual art education. Art is a necessity for the full developmen­t of better quality of life and to the value of art education for divergent and critical thinking. A reception will be held on Monday, March 27th from 4:00 p.m .- 5:30 p.m. with punch and cookies.

April will be the West Texas Art Guild’s - Children’s Art Show, which invites children of the county to contribute artwork by April 5th. The art will be combined and displayed throughout the month of April. The County-City Library also invites any artists to display their art to participat­e in their Artist of the Month Program.
