Southwest Arkansas Arts Council, Inc., will present “The Power of Olé! — Optimistic Leadership Energy!”, a 45-minute solo guitar program of haunting Spanish Gypsy melodies and dazzling Flamenco techniques held together by Ronald Raford’s educational and humorous comments, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 at Rapert Library Auditorium, 2500 S. Write! on Art presented by TRAHC, allows participants in seventh grade through university and adult to submit original poetry and prose compositions inspired by selected works of art on exhibit at the Regional Arts Center. Deadline to enter is 4 p.m. Oct. 25. Awards ceremony will be held Nov. 29. The first place winner in each category receives a $100 savings account provided by Red River Federal Credit union. Texarkana Museums System will present “Dinosaur Discoveries: Ancient Fossils, New Ideas” through Dec. 29 at Discovery Place Children’s Museum, 215 Pine St. The exhibit features 1,500 square feet of dinosaur artifacts and seven interactive stations. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission: $5.
