The President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site in Hope, Ark., offers exhibits and tours of the home where Clinton spent his first 10 years. Texas Commission on the Arts is seeking nominations for positions of 2013-2014 state poet laureate, state musician, state artist (2-D media) and state artist (3-D media). National Park Service and National Park Foundation’s African-American Experience Fund will have a nationwide artistic competition to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation. Submissions will be accepted from students 13 to 18 years old in three categories: photography, poetry and digital short films. First place winners will receive a $2,500 scholarship.
