PARIS, Texas—Liberty-Eylau distanced itself quickly from

Cooper enroute to a 74-48 win in the final game of Guaranty Bond Bank Tournament for both clubs at Paris High School.

The Leopards zipped out to a 23-3 lead by the end of the first quarter and never scored less than 15 points in any of the remaining three periods.

Rashaan Donelson popped home 10 field goals for a gameleadin­g 21points. Davion Hall added 13 and Keith Wykoop tossed in 10 points.

The win raises L-E’s to 4-9.

IDABEL, Okla.—Arkansas High was held to single figures by Noble in three of four quarters in a 46-40 loss in a Idabel Winter Classic consolatio­n game between the two schools at Warrior Gym.

AHS held a nine-point lead at halftime by outscoring the Bears 17-6 in the second quarter. But, the Hogs couldn’t repeat the effort in the second half.

After intermissi­on Nobel took charge, outscoring the Razorbacks, 32-15, the rest of the way.

Guard Tay Giles had 11 points and was AHS’ only player to finish with more than six points. Noble’s Devin Wheeler and Leland Palmer shared highpoint honors with 15 each.

Arkansas High (8-7) begins 6A South conference play Friday with a home game against Pine Bluff.

ASHDOWN, Ark.—Texas High whipped two Arkansasba­sed opponents by huge margins in two Ashdown Classic games held at Panther Gym.

The Lady Tigers dismantled Hope, 53-28, in the opener then blewout Bradley, 70-40 in the second contest.

As usual, Chanel Hayes and Jalissa Trotter played big roles in both victories.

Hayes scored a team-high 14 points and Trotter had 13 against Hope. The two reversed roles in the Bradley game.

Trotter pumped in 21 points with 10 rebounds. Hayes contribute­d 14 points and teammate K.T. Davis tossed in 12 along with pulling down 10 boards.

Natasha Ellis led Bradley with 21 points.

aHS breaks Broken Bow

IDABEL, Okla.—Fully recovered from a hospital stay earlier in the week Jasmine Allen scored 13 points to lead Arkansas High to a 50-40 win over Broken Bow in the final day of the three-day, Idabel Winter Classic.

Stacey Manley and Morgan Norwood added 10 points each. Karli Hobson had nine points for Broken Bow.

The Lady Backs led all the way in earning their 10th win in 14 games. AHS jumped out to a 13-5 advantage in the first quarter was held to single digits only once.

That came in the second quarter when Broken Bow outscored AHS, 10-7.
