Genoa sinks Mayflower, 14-5

GENOA, Ark.—Garrett Huff and Cale Ridling each had three RBI as Genoa Central pounded out 18 hits and stayed unbeaten in conference play, crushing Mayflower 14-5.

Ridling picked up the win on the mound to improve 3-1 on the season.

Huff, Ridling and Justin Swecker all had three hits apiece for the Dragons. Devin Royse, Tyler Moreland and Jacob Knotts each had a single and double and two RBI for Genoa (14-5, 3-0)

Genoa travels to Fouke for a 4:30 p.m. game Friday.

Redwater 7, Chisum 0

REDWATER, Texas—Fox Smith tossed a two-hit shutout and Redwater took sole possession of first place in District 15-3A with a 7-0 win over Paris Chisum.

Nick Anderson had three singles for Redwater (11-4, 6-1). The Dragons will host Cooper at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Foreman 7, Cossatot River 3

WICKES, Ark.—Foreman rallied for five runs in its final at-bat to pull out a 7-3 win over Cossatot River.

Luke Henderson went the distance on the mound, scattering nine hits, to pick up the win for the Gators, who improved to 2-8, 1-2.

Zach Bates had a pair of singles and an RBI, Parker Smith had a single and a double and Tucker Hall had a double to lead the Gator offense.

Konner McKee had two singles a double and two RBI for the Wildcats.

Horatio 11, Spring Hill 6

SPRING HILL, Ark.—Cole Boyd slammed two pitches over the fence in an 11-6 win over Spring Hill.

Boyd’s first homer came in the third and he popped another one in the final inning. He finished with six RBI.

Zach Izzo had three singles and two RBI for Horatio. Jason Barron added three hits.

Horatio will face Ashdown today at 5:30 p.m.

MP Chapel Hill 15, Linden-Kildare 5

LINDEN, Texas—Linden-Kildare had no answer for Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill’s consistent hitting.

The score was tied at 3-all after the second inning, but Chapel Hill scored seven consecutiv­e runs over the next four innings to put the game out of reach.

Curt Wells and Jordan Spaniol each had a double and two RBI for L-K.

Bryant Roberts was Chapel Hill’s top hitter with two singles and three RBI.

New Boston 9, Prairiland 5

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Philip Sissons hammered a double, a single and drove in one run to lead New Boston over Prairiland, 9-5, at Lion Field.

New Boston pitcher Dylan Martin earned the win. Philip Pyle slapped two singles and had an RBI, Jake Bobbit drove in two runs on a scorching double, and Martin smacked a double for the Lions.

Blake Upchurch slammed two singles and had two RBI for the Patriots. Jordan Harrison walloped a double, and Heath Swaim had a double and two RBI for Prairiland.

Ashton Langston took the loss for the Patriots (5-2).

Maud 12, Rivercrest 2

MAUD, Texas—Kendall Mathis slugged a solo home run, and Maud squashed Rivercrest, 12-2, at Cardinal Field.

Jake McDonald had a single and three RBI, and Triston Carlow batted a triple, a single, and had two RBI for the Cardinals.

Matthew Smith and Logan Hemby had a single, a double, and an RBI each for Maud.

Rylie Martin earned the win on the mound for the Cardinals.
