Ashdown girls blank Horatio

ASHDOWN, Ark.—Ashdown started off slow but started to connect with pitches in the final three innings to defeat Horatio, 10-0, on Thursday.

The Lady Panthers scored just one run in the first two innings but put nine on the board in the last three frames to end the game early.

Allie Anderson knocked a double and two singles for Ashdown, while Emily Mulholland added a double, a single and two RBI. Charli Thompkins and Jada Fricks each had RBI-singles.

Shelby Tipton got the win in the circle.

Prairiland 3, New Boston 1

PATTONVILL­E, Texas—New Boston held an early lead, but a determined Prairiland team fought back to take the victory.

The Lady Patriots scored two runs in the fourth inning to take the lead and tacked on another run in the fifth inning with a home run.

Emily McAlexande­r had a double and a single for the Lady Lions. McKenzee Thomas added an RBI-single.

Redwater 3, Paris Chisum 1

REDWATER, Texas—Katy Worrell threw 13 strikeouts in a win over Paris Chisum for her 17th victory of the season.

The Lady Dragons had 10 hits in the contest, including three singles from Kelsey Harris, two from Savannah Corbell and an RBI-single from Kelli Francis.

Redwater (18-1) hosts Cooper on Friday at 6 p.m.

Camden Fairview 11, Hope 7

CAMDEN, Ark.—Hope tried its best to compete with Camden Fairview, but a four-run surge in the sixth inning catapulted the Lady Cardinals to victory.

Tatyanna Smith popped a double, a single and two RBI for the Lady Bobcats. Destiny Martin added an RBI-single.

Kynzi Morgan led CF at the plate with three singles, and Darby Hartfield retired seven batters in the pitching win.

James Bowie 2, McLeod 0

SIMS, Texas—James Bowie scratched out runs in the first and third innings and Molly Hammons pitched a no-hitter as the Lady Pirates improved to 8-6.

Emma Parker went the distance on the mound for McLeod, scattering six hits.

Hammonds got her 100th strikeout of the season as she improved her record to 7-5.

Kylee Wyatt had three singles and scored both of James Bowie’s runs.

James Bowie plays at Maud at 6 Friday evening.

MP Chapel Hill 15, Linden-Kildare 3

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill notched a huge victory against Linden-Kildare.

Jess Hientz had two doubles and four RBI for Chapel Hill.

Haylee Smoak led L-K with an RBItriple. Sheranie Green had a triple, and Siarra Johnson added a single.

Avery 9, DeKalb 8

AVERY, Texas—Shelby Stanley walloped two doubles and had two RBI as Avery edged DeKalb, 9-8, at Lady Bulldog Field.

Pitcher Kassi Loftin earned the win for Avery. Bailey Taylor slapped a single and had three RBI, and Cassidy Kelsoe had two singles and one RBI for the Bulldogs.

Astonai Gray hit two singles and drove in one run for the Lady Bears, and teammate Tori Leveritt smacked a double and a single.

Avery is 9-3 and 6-1 in district.
