FOOTBALL: The annual rivalry game between Texas High and Arkansas High will be on Sept. 4 at 8 p.m at Razorback Stadium. Fans are encouraged to get their tickets early. Ticket sales will be Aug. 31-Sept. 3 from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Sept. 4 from 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. at the Texarkana Arkansas School District Office, 1920 E. 18th street (Razorback Stadium). All seats are reserved; there are no general admission ticket sales for this game. Tickets are $8. Arkansas High student tickets are $4 and can be purchased during their lunch periods. No tickets will be sold at the gates, and gates will open at 6 p.m. Stadium rules and regulation­s will be enforced—no smoking, no sagging, and due to AAA rules, air horns are not permitted.

Shuttle service from Arkansas High student parking lot is free to all ticket holders. Razorback fans will enter the home parking lot from 18th Street and Jefferson Avenue. Tiger fans will will park on the visitor side and will only have access to the visitor parking lot on Highway 67. Stadium parking is free.

The community is invited to to attend the Razorbacks’ Orange Crush Breakfast and pep rally at Razorback stadium. Admission is $3, gates will open at 7 a.m., and the pep rally will be 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m.

NFL FLAG FOOTBALL: The Pleasant Grove Youth Associatio­n has partnered with the NFL to create the area’s only NFL-affiliated flag football league. Enrollment is open to all athletes first through sixth grade with a primary residence in Pleasant Grove ISD or Redlick ISD or currently attending school in one of these districts. All players will receive a reversible NFL jersey and be guaranteed a great experience and playing time. Registrati­on is open through Sept. 4. Registrati­on forms are available at pgya.org and can be mailed or returned to any of the district schools in the districts above by the Sept. 4 deadline. GOLF: Paul Notaa, 74, shot under his age, 73, at Oak Grove Golf Club on Aug. 28. The accomplish­ment was witnessed by Wayne Bloxom, Doug Herron, Jerry Hudgeons and Warran Thibioux.

Ronnie Ingram shot a 67, his age, Thursday at Northridge Country Club. The feat was witnessed by Brian Daugherty, Mac McAllister and Dwight Buchanan.

J.T. Smith shot a 76, his age, Thursday at Northridge Country Club. Lloyd Champion, Kirk Sanderson and Jim Shively were witnesses.
