HandsOn Texarkana, The New Volunteer Center, offers volunteer opportunities in the community and refers prospective volunteers to appropriate agencies and volunteer groups. Wadley Regional Medical Center Auxiliary needs volunteers ages 18 and up interested in helping in surgery waiting, gift shop, information desk, emergency room, surgery waiting, cancer treatment center, quilting group, fundraising group or special projects group. Alternative Opportunities/ DaySpring Behavioral Health Services needs volunteers to help

Alzheimer’s Alliance needs people knowledgeable of Alzheimer’s Disease to answer the HelpLine evenings and weekends, and volunteers for light clerical work, fundraisers and other events. Call 903-223-8021.

American Cancer Society

needs volunteers for its Road to Recovery program which provides transportation for cancer patients to their appointments.

Mileage reimbursement is available. Must have reliable vehicle, valid drivers license, proof and insurance and pass a background check. Call 903-597-1383.

American Red Cross needs welcome team volunteers at the Texarkana office who can work 4 hour shifts at least one day each week greeting and directing visitors, answering the phone and assisting with filing.
