Charles “Billy” Miller

-

Charles William “Billy” Miller, 67, of Foreman, AR departed this world unexpectedly on December 2, 2015 at his home. He was born November 19, 1948 in Foreman to Julia Miller and the late William Miller of Broken Bow, OK.

He was a Baptist and had accepted the Lord into his heart.

He married the love of his life Maxine on January 14, 1967. They celebrated 48 years of marriage this year.

Billy was a man full of character and life, always smiling, and I guarantee he would always have a funny story to tell. He was a man of all trades, from mechanic work, carpentry, outdoorsmen, and avid hunter all while working at Red River Army Depot. He was a hard worker and it showed. He retired from DLA at Red River Army Depot in 2008 after working there for 44 years. Not only was he a hard worker, but a loving husband, daddy, and pawpaw. He loved his family more than anything in the world and he let everyone know how proud he was of all his children. He enjoyed elk hunting trips to Colorada, holidays, and just spending time with family and friends.

He loved to talk and you could bet a 5 minute post office trip would turn into 30 minute or more trip, because he was going to find someone to talk to. He had a long, white beard that he grew out all year to be able to play Santa. He had so much joy in doing this, and looked forward to it every year. He was so jolly and had that sparkle in his eye. He never got off the phone or let his children or grandchildren leave without hugging and telling them how much he loved them. He was his children’s biggest supporter! He never missed a football, baseball, softball game or watching his daughters cheer, and you can bet he had his video camera out. He was always the one with the camera and took pictures of every event throughout life. There was no greater joy than all his precious grandchildren. He was his children’s hero and best friend, and they loved their daddy so much.

He is survived by the love of his life Maxine. Two daughters and sons-laws: Lisa and Jeff Castle of Foreman; Pamela and Cody May of New Boston,TX. Two sons and daughter-in-law: Carlton Miller of Foreman; Mark and Samantha Miller of Smackover, AR. Two sisters and brother in law Shirley and Ronnie Scott of Commerce, TX and Janie LeFlore of Hugo, OK. One brother Johnny Miller of Broken Bow, OK. Twelve grandchildren: Brock, Logan, Willa Miller, Trey, Trevor, Ashalin Casper and Colton Castle of Foreman; Casen, Cullen, and Colt May of New Boston; Anabelle, and Beau Miller of Smackover. And many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Visitation will be Friday December 4, 2015 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Madden Funeral Home in Foreman, AR.

Funeral Services will be Saturday December 5, 2015 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Foreman, AR with Rev. Audie Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at Gravelly Cemetery in Foreman, AR under the direction of Madden Funeral Home.
