DAVID SCROGGINS

HOPE, Ark.—David Scroggins, 87, of Ozan, Ark., died Friday, March 18, 2016, in Nashville, Ark.

Mr. Scroggins was born April 24, 1928, in Columbus, Ark. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mariah Hopson Scroggins; and one son.

Survivors include two daughters, Marie Taylor and Helen Armstrong of Ozan; three sons, David Scroggins Jr. of Denver, Colo., and the Rev. Jessie Scroggins and Solomon Scroggins of Ozan; one sister, Georgia Sampson of St. Louis, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke CME Church, Ozan. Burial will be in St. Luke Cemetery under direction of Hicks Funeral Home.

The body may be viewed 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
