BILLY WAITS

Billy D. Waits, 76, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, July 22, 2016, at his home. Mr. Waits was born May 12, 1940, in Texarkana. He was retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Co., an Air Force veteran and a member of Texarkana Bass Club.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Miner Waits of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Chris Waits of Texarkana, Texas; one daughter and son-inlaw, Colleen and Phillip Spillane of Baton Rouge, La.; five grandchildren, Mallory Rivera, Alex Waits, Amanda Antonio, Jessie Self and John Michael Spillane; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at East Funeral Home, Moores Lane with the Rev. Carl Teel officiating.

Cremation under direction of the funeral home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

DAVID PLUMLEY

HOPE, Ark.—David Plumley, 66, of Lewisville, Ark., died Saturday, July 23, 2016, in a Little Rock, Ark., hospital.

Mr. Plumley was born Feb. 21, 1950, in Hope. He was a retired bricklayer, a Marine and Vietnam War veteran and of the Assembly of God faith. He was preceded in death by one son, Andrew Plumley; one daughter, Robin Plumley; and one stepdaughter, Monica McLellan.

Survivors include two stepsons, Scotty Reese and David McCord; one daughter, Shannon Cook of Kirby, Ark.; one brother, Spencer Plumley of Lewisville; two sisters, Lana Peterson of Longview, Texas, and Lisa Grasso of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Baylie Cook, Katie Cook and Austin Cook; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home with Jimmy Bobo and Spencer Plumley officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Knighton Cemetery in Lewisville.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

THULA EUDY

CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Thula Gay Simmons Eudy, 68, of New Boston, Texas, died Saturday, July 23, 2016, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospice.

Mrs. Eudy was born March 14, 1948, in Houston, Texas. She was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by one son, Samuel Ellis Winkle.

Survivors include one son, Anthony Winkle of Bagwell, Texas; two grandchildren, Anthony Bryon Winkle and Tonya Lee Winkle; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in English Cemetery with the Rev. Don “Dink” Benton officiating under direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

There will be no formal visitation.

CATHERINE MAHER

ARLINGTON, Va.—Catherine Huber Maher, 90, of Arlington, formerly of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, July 22, 2016.

Mrs. Maher was born in 1925 in Lake Charles, La. While in Texarkana, she was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church parish council, Wednesday Music Club and active in counseling for unwed mothers.

Survivors include one daughter, Anne Richardson; two sons, Fritz Maher and Karl Maher; and two grandchildren, Jay Richardson and Hunter Maher.

Memorials may be made to help unwed mothers.

STAMPS, Ark.—Robin Lee Tatom, 60, of Lewisville, Ark., died Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at his home.

Mr. Tatom was born Jan. 10, 1956, in Lewisville.

Survivors include two sons, Jeremy Tatom of Dallas, Texas, and Joey Tatom of Annona, Texas; one brother and sisterin-law, Sam and Angie Tatom of Benton, Ark.; and special friend, Vaunda Fanning.

Services will be held at a later date.
