Friends of the (Texarkana) Library will have a book sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and Saturday at 320 W. Broad St. All children/young adult books and books by Nora Roberts are half price.

The 2016-2017 Perot Theatre Series season currently has

series tickets and single event tickets available for Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council members. The general public may now purchase series tickets. The 40th annual Hope Watermelon Festival

Concert will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 in Hope Fair Park, featuring Country Music Hall of Fame recording artists The

Oak Ridge Boys, with a special opening by Miss America 2016 Betty Cantrell. Advance tickets are $15, with reserved VIP tickets for $40. Friends of the Maud (Texas) Public Library will sponsor a Quilt, Photograph­y and Trash
