Krum started its football program in 2012 and got its 41st win in school history last week. The Bobcats are state ranked and have climbed from No. 11 to No.7. COACHES’ COMMENTS: Pleasant Grove’s Josh Gibson— “Krum is a good football team. They went four rounds deep in the playoffs last year. They returned several starters on offense and defense. Krum is big, physical, sound and well coached. They aren’t as fast as some of the teams that we have been playing, but they execute extremely well. Their strength and size are their greatest strengths.
“We are going to have to play fast and physical on defense and create turnovers. On offense, we are going to have to control the line of scrimmage, protect the football, and limit turnovers. We need to create some big plays in the special teams phase of the game. We’ve been able to do that in our past few games. We have been improving, and I think that if we play hard, we’ll have a shot at these guys.”
