No. 9 Texas A&M (4-0, 2-0 SEC) at S. Carolina (2-2, 1-2)
When: 4 p.m. EDT Saturday
Where: Williams-Brice Stadium, Columbia, S.C.
TV: SEC Network
Notes: QB Trevor Knight and the Aggies go for the third consecutive 5-0 start and play their third consecutive game away from home. Texas A&M has dealt losses to UCLA, Auburn and Arkansas in the season’s first month, and has arguably enjoyed its best September under coach Kevin Sumlin. Given the Aggies’ defensive upgrades — they rank 18th nationally in scoring defense (16 points per game) and 42nd against the run (128.3 yards per game) — it’s possible this is the year the program can sustain a hot start. It certainly should continue against the Gamecocks, who have proven feisty on defense but are the second-lowest scoring team in the FBS.
