FAITH INFUSION PREACHES THE GOSPEL

Ministry reaches out in multiple ways to preach the gospel

- By Shonna Yeager

When Jesus commissioned the church, He commanded that we go into all the world and preach the gospel.

The most familiar version of the Great Commission is depicted in Matthew 28:16-20: “Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw Him they worshiped Him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of age.’”

Truth Infusion Ministries in Texarkana has embraced that commission and set out to prove that preaching the word of God is the most powerful, life-changing force in the universe.

The ministry focuses on the effective revival of the church and its ability to embody truth in a chaotic world. The members believe the ministry’s calling is to be that voice of revival and remind people of God’s divine plan.

Truth Infusion tries to reach the community in myriad ways, the most powerful being its preaching ministry. According to truthinfusion.com, although church programs and music ministries can be beneficial, it is the preaching of the Word that was commanded.

Truth Infusion Ministries approaches challenging topics with a hard-hitting, applicable and pointed preaching method. They are passionate and excited about bringing the power of the Word to as many as possible.

“Our mission, our desire, in this day in age when everything is out of control and the church is not operating as it should be or could be, Truth Infusion is passionate about getting into the church and infusing into it the truth so we can support our communities,” member David Markham said. “We need to love our communities and the people in them.”

The preaching ministry of Truth Infusion Ministries includes David Markham, Jason Edge, Tim Lewis, Chuck Mancil, Wesley Belk and Kelly Wright.

David Markham is a third-generation minister of the gospel who spent several years in leadership in a local church body before hearing the call of God to begin Truth Infusion Ministries. Over the past decade, he has ministered to prisoners, the homeless and to countless churches. He continues to hunger for the Word of God to be preached anywhere and everywhere. His wife, Jennifer, is a vocalist in the worship band and a member of the ministry’s board of directors.

Jason Edge is considered the quintessential teacher of the Word. His ability to reach listeners on a personal level and his desire to spread the Word of God makes him an integral part of the ministry. He is a regular guest host on the Truth Infusion Radio Show and is a member of the board. He and his wife, Tiffany, are the youth pastors at Faith Community Baptist Church in Redwater, Texas. They have two daughters, Jayci and Harlee.

Tim Lewis, along with his wife, Megan, have spent the past six years ministering to teens and college students. He is passionate about teaching the Bible and has been the speaker at numerous churches, youth rallies and community events in the area. He serves on the worship team at Anchor Church in Texarkana. He is in the Ti worship band and a member of the board. The Lewises have two daughters, Callie and Nora Cate.

Chuck Mancil is considered by the group to be the spark plug of Truth Infusion Ministries. He has a heart for those burdened with addiction and dependence and ministers to inmates, ex-convicts and those in restitution homes. He uses his personal testimony as proof of the delivering power of a loving God and is Truth Infusion’s jail and prison ministry pastor. Mancil and his wife, Angela, have two daughters, Hannah and Lydia.

Wesley Belk graciously accepted the invitation to fill several pulpits in the area. He is considered by the group to be a fantastic teacher with the outreaching heart of an evangelist. His personality is relatable, and he has the ability to deliver biblical truths in a way that listeners understand and find riveting. He shares his musical talents, playing bass guitar in the band. His wife, Joy, serves alongside her husband in the ministry and plays an important role in the activities behind the scenes of Truth Infusion Ministries.

Kelly Wright has faithfully served for many years in his local church, Ashdown First Assembly of God. He is a dedicated teacher of the Word, a church ministry leader and a talented guitar player. He uses these experiences and his magnetic personality that endears him to those that he ministers to. His humble heart and captivating sense of humor allow him to deliver a sermon that feeds the soul. He plays guitar in Truth Infusion’s band. He is married to Emily, and they have two children, Landon and Kyla.

The group also ministers through music. The heart of that ministry is the Truth Infusion Worship Band. Each member is an active leader in their own home church. Together, they share their passion to see people experience God through worship. They have led worship in countless churches, multiple denominations and various events. Although they come from different churches, they strongly advise that everyone have a home church.

“Most of us minister in our home churches. We support the churches in our community, and they support us,” Markham said. “But it is important to have a church home. A place to be spiritually fed.”

The members of the music group include rhythm guitarist Tim Lewis; drummer Mylon Honea; lead guitarist Kelly Wright; bass guitarist Wesley Belk; vocalists Tiffany Edge, Jennifer Markham and Angela Markham; and lead vocalist David Markham.

“Our music ministry is meant to revive the church. It’s not about the music, it’s about ministering the Word,” Markham said. “Music is the vehicle that pours truth into lives.”

Truth Infusion Ministries shares encouraging words from the Lord in a weekly Bible study program aired on the radio. Markham challenges listeners to stand on the truth in a world of shifting sand.

The following stations support the program: Atlanta FM 95.5, Atlanta AM 900, Texarkana ESPN-FM 94.1, and Texarkana FM 95.5/AM 900. They plan to add more radio stations in the future.

A monthly newsletter is on their website, truthinfusion.com, each month listing upcoming events. They share topics for the blog page, davidmarkham.blogspot.com, radio show topics, member information and more.

The group released its Christmas album, “Truth Infusion Christmas,” on Sept. 1. Most of the songs are live performances from 2015. The album includes nine beloved Christmas songs that will touch the hearts of all ages. The group has plans for a Christmas tour in December. The album can be found on Amazon for $.99 per song.

“We receive the gospel free and give it free,” said Markham. “We do not charge for shows, and the money we get from sales goes back into funding radio shows and other ministries.”

The group of men and women that make up Truth Infusion have taken God’s commission to heart. They begin with little more than a passion to infuse God’s word into every heart and have became a community favorite that leads by faith.

“We try to be where God wants us, to do what he want us to,” Markham said. “We know he will always provide the way.”

TRUTH INFUSION BELIEFS We believe in:

The Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy; and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

One God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit

Our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His personal return in power and glory.

The salvation of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith apart from works, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ.

The unity of the spirit of all believers, the church, the body of Christ.

The resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

That marriage, as originated and defined by God through Scripture, is honorable and sacred only when held between one man and one woman.
