DALE PRESLEY

Millard Dale Presley, 74, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016 in a local nursing home.

Mr. Presley was born Nov. 28, 1941 in Gurdon, Ark. He was a retired Texas DPS officer, retired Bowie County probation officer, worked security for Alexander’s Jewelers, a youth baseball coach, a member of Williams Memorial United Methodist Church and an Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Harriette Presley of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Julie Presley of Austin; one daughter, Shannon Presley of Texarkana; six grandchildren, Mindy Sparks of DeKalb, Texas, Brooke Thomas and Tyler Thomas of Texarkana, Texas, Trenton Thomas of Hooks, Texas, Zak Presley of Southlake, Texas and Samantha Presley of Austin; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. James Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
