MONROE MOORE
HOPE, Ark.—Monroe Moore, 64, of Stamps, Ark., died Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital.
Mr. Moore was born Jan. 22, 1952. He was a machine operator with Pilgrim’s Pride, Chairman of the Deacon Board and Magnolia East District Brotherhood and a member of Church of God in Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Joyce LangstonMoore.
Survivors include one daughter, Angela Moore of Stamps; five sons, James Monroe Moore of Lewisville, Ark., Kenneth Moore, Frederick Moore and Roger Moore of Stamps and Jonathan Moore of Pecos, Texas; his mother, Emma Thomas of Lewisville; one brother, Burl Moore of Hope; two sisters, Molly Henderson of Busey, Ark., and Luella Moore of Hope; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Jerusalem COGIC, Magnolia, Ark., with Superintendent Herman Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Rudd Cemetery under direction of Brandon’s Mortuary.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
