HOPE, Ark.—Monroe Moore, 64, of Stamps, Ark., died Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital.

Mr. Moore was born Jan. 22, 1952. He was a machine operator with Pilgrim’s Pride, Chairman of the Deacon Board and Magnolia East District Brotherhoo­d and a member of Church of God in Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Joyce LangstonMo­ore.

Survivors include one daughter, Angela Moore of Stamps; five sons, James Monroe Moore of Lewisville, Ark., Kenneth Moore, Frederick Moore and Roger Moore of Stamps and Jonathan Moore of Pecos, Texas; his mother, Emma Thomas of Lewisville; one brother, Burl Moore of Hope; two sisters, Molly Henderson of Busey, Ark., and Luella Moore of Hope; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Jerusalem COGIC, Magnolia, Ark., with Superinten­dent Herman Hayes officiatin­g. Burial will be in Rudd Cemetery under direction of Brandon’s Mortuary.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
