IMOGENE GARRETT

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas— Imogene Garrett, 93, of Mount Pleasant died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016.

Ms. Garrett was born April 15, 1923, in Mount Pleasant. She was retired from Pilgrim’s Pride and a Sunday School teach and Imperial Choir member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Mount Pleasant. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Garrett Palmer.

Survivors include one daughter, Betty Faye Norman of Mount Pleasant; one son and daughterin-law, Chester and Lois Palmer of Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Kirthell Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Edwards Cemetery under direction of Tumey Mortuary.

The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday with visitation 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
