BERTHA LEWIS

Bertha Mae Lewis, 61, of Ashdown, Ark., died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at her home.

Ms. Lewis was born May 5, 1955, in Ashdown. She was retired from Little River Memorial Hospital and a member of the Hospitality Committee and Craig Chapel AME Church.

Survivors include two sons, Jemaine Demond Lewis of Ashdown and Cournia Rashun Lewis of Texarkana, Texas; four brothers, Leon Lewis, Calvin Lewis, Hoarce Leiws and James Lewis of Ashdown; three sisters, LaSha Lewis of Ashdown,Marie White of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Shirley Scoggins of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Craig Chapel AME Church with the Rev. Michael Harris officiating. Burial in Rhodes Cemetery, under the direction of Lyles Funeral Home.
