L. GENE AUSTIN

L. Gene Austin, 85, of Sacramento, Calif., died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, in a Sacramento, Calif., hospital.

Mr. Austin was born May 10, 1031, in Texarkana, Texas. He was an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Austin.

Survivors include one sister, Mary Louise Austin of Texarkana; and six nieces and nephews, Patsy Ruth Phillips, Michael Austin, James Austin, Lonnie Austin, Harold Austin, Jr. and Donald Austin.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Fair Haven Cemetery. Burial will be under direction of Haynes Mortuary.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
