Scientists believe that our climate is changing because power plants, factories and cars are putting too much carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere. CO2 acts like a blanket, holding in warmth. As a result, polar ice is melting faster, weather is more extreme, animals are becoming extinct, and some crops can no longer grow.
