Tigershark­s compete at state

AUSTIN—Texas High has individual­s competing in 12 different events today, as well as all six relays at the UIl 5A state swim and dive championsh­ips at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center.

The prelims are set for 5:30 p.m. today with the finals scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The top eight from today's prelims advance to the finals.

Three Tigershark­s qualified in the boys 1-meter diving. Hunter Burt, Robert Bland and Jacob Mitchmore will represent Texas High in the event, and on the girls side, Courtney Lourens and Lauren Potter will compete for THS in the girls 1-meter diving.

Kristen Clayton and Ohemaa Barnes each are qualified in two individual races.

Clayton will compete in the 200 freestyle and the 100 breaststro­ke, and Barnes qualified in the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Cathryn Payne also is a state competitor in the 100 butterfly.

All three girls relays—the 200 medley, 200 free and 400 free—and all three boys relays qualified for the state meet.

Dylan Rosser and Max Young are double-qualifers for the Tigershark­s on the boys side.

Rosser is entered in the 200 individual medley and the 100 backstroke, and Young qualifed in the 200 free and 500 freestyle. Owen Likins also is qualified in the 500 free.

Nicholas Radomski will compete in the 100 breaststro­ke for Texas High.
