UAHT to offer class on healthy cooking
The Community Education Department at the University of Arkansas at Hope-Texarkana will hold a Cook Smart, Eat Smart class from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 13 at Hempstead Hall.
Attendees will learn how to prepare simple, delicious and healthy dishes. Each session will include basic cooking techniques, tips on how to prepare meals at home and how to stretch dollars while still eating healthy. The first session will include instructions on roasting and stir-frying and how to prepare marinades and rice.
Cost is $15 per person. The class is offered in partnership with Terrie James with the University of Arkansas Division of the Agriculture Research and Extension office.
