Gander Mountain files for bankruptcy; stores remain open

Gander Mountain, a company specializing in sporting goods, is filing for bankruptcy.

The company, with 162 stores across 26 states, originally started in 1960 as a catalog company in Wisconsin. Now it seeks to service the hunting, camping, fishing, shooting sports and outdoor markets. Though they have begun the bankruptcy process, their stores and gandermountain.com remain open for business.
