PG girls soccer blanks AHS, 5-0

The Lady Hawks defeated Arkansas High girls’ varsity soccer, 5-0.

Kylie Rogers scored the first goal with the assist going to Haley Hearn.

Brooklyn Puzz scored the second going, being assisted by Rebekah Gillum.

Katie Hutcheson scored the third goal and Sophia Tuttlebee was awarded the assist.

Caroline Joyce scored the fourth goal, being assisted by Hearn.

Puzz scored the final goal off a cross from Lauren Hughes.

SULPHUR SPRINGS 1, TEXAS HIGH

SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas—Texas High lost their girls’ varsity match against Sulphur Springs at the end.

Riley Bender and Anna Morgan were credited as standouts in the middle by their coaches.

The Lady Tigers are back in action this Friday, playing Mount Pleasant at the Arkansas High Invitation­al.

Boys HAMBURG 4, ARKANSAS HIGH 2

Arkansas High fell to Hamburg in boys’ varsity soccer.

Jacob Akins scored two goals for the Hogs against the Lions. Akins scored in the 22nd minute from an assist from Eduardo Perez. Akins also scored in the 46th minute, with the assist going to Eamonn Murray.

The Razorbacks are 1-1 overall this season.

The Hogs are back in action on Friday, hosting conference rival El Dorado.

PLEASANT GROVE 4, ATLANTA 0

Pleasant Grove blanked Atlanta in boys’ varsity soccer.

Tristen Williams scored two goals during the match, also assisting on a score.

Jacob Heminger also scored twice during the match and also completed an assist.

Anthony Mejia had two assists during the contest.

The Hawks are now 10-4-1 this season.

Pleasant Grove is back in action on Friday at the Arkansas High Invitation­al, facing off against Mena.
