Genoa Central defeats Panthers, 7-3

FOUKE, Ark.—Tyler Moreland earned the win, struck out eight and improved to 2-0 as Genoa Central defeated Fouke 7-3.

Garrett Cook knocked a pair of singles for the Dragons, while teammates Moreland, Mason Sellers, and Cason Brigham each had a double. Dylan Rushing got the save on the hill.

BLOOMBURG, Texas—Evan Barron struck out nine and pitched a no-hitter to help lift James Bowie to a district win over the host Wildcats.

Barron was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI, Bailey Obenoskey was 2 for 3

with 3 RBI for the Pirates, and Branson Wilson and Caige Croley were both 2 for 3. Cody Roberson also had a single and two RBI.

DETROIT, Texas—Marty Johnson blasted a grand slam in the second frame as the Tigers rolled past the Eagles.

Caleb Cunningham pitched five innings, gave up two hits, two unearned runs, struck out three, and got the win.

Johnson had 5 RBI on 2-of-4 hitting for the Tigers, while teammate Dalton Hendrix was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and two runs scored.

Charlie Trammel had an RBI double for the Panthers. Alex Day doubled and scored a run, and teammate Kaden Stuart drove in a run on a double for Ashdown.

Trace Beene had a pair of singles for the Scrappers.

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—Philip Sisson scattered four hits over 7-plus innings, and Tyler Graham broke a scoreless game with an RBI single in the top of the eighth inning to help New Boston nip host Hughes Springs in District 14-3A play.

Sissons pitched into the eighth and had six strikeouts, and Tyler Strain earned the save with a strikeout and inducing a game-ending double play. Sissons also had a pair of hits at the dish for the Lions (8-3, 2-0).

Triston Hickey and Garrett Golden each had hits for the Mustangs. Riley McKinney absorbed the loss, working seven innings of scoreless innings with relief from Alex Bruce.
