Fouke run-rules Lady Curley Wolves for 16-1 win

FOUKE, Ark.–Fouke run-ruled the Prescott Lady Curley Wolves, 16-1, Friday in varsity softball action.

The Lady Panthers got off to a quick start, scoring 10 runs in the first two innings and never looked back.

Fouke was led by pitcher Tabi Floyd who was 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBI. Laykin Smallwood went 3 for 3, and Emily McFarrin went 2 for 3. Floyd, Smallwood and McFarrin each had 2 RBI.

Hailey Wiley went 1 for 2 and scored the only run for the Wolves.

LINDEN, Texas—After Bloomburg tied the game with five runs in the top of the seventh, host Linden-Kildare rallied and scored the winning run in the bottom of the frame to post a onerun victory over the Lady Wildcats.

Jaici Smallwood paced the Lady Tigers with two singles and an RBI, Kaitlyn Salazar and Reagan Lee had a single and 2 RBI each, Jada Madlock and Dossey Gillian had a hit and RBI each and Haley Palmer a hit.

Bloomburg was paced by Trinity Mouser with a double, two singles and an RBI, Kyle Williams ha a double and RBI, and Haylea Pond, Kalea Cloninger, Haylee Campbell and Hope Parker added a single and RBI each.

Ashdown 13, Cossatot River 1

COSSATOT RIVER, Ark.–Ashdown got off to a slow start, but turned it on late in a romp over the Lady Eagles.

After only scoring one run in the first three innings, the Lady Panthers scored five in the fourth and seven more over the final two innings.

Adaysia Thompson homered and drove in three runs, and Kenya Wilson tripled and had 2 RBI for the Lady Panthers.

Lauren Driver singled and a doubled for Cossatot River.

James Bowie 3, McLeod 2

SIMMS, Texas—Bailee Williams hit two singles and an RBI to lead James Bowie over McLeod.

Lindsey Rogers had a single for the Lady Pirates.

Emma Parker had a pair of singles and 2 RBI for the Lady Longhorns, while teammate Salena Moon had a single.

Mally Hammonds got the win in the circle for McLeod.

SIMMS, Texas—The Pirates runruled the Longhorns at home.

Cody Roberson threw a no-hitter for James Bowie, in five innings worth of work. Roberson was also 1 for 1 at the dish, with an RBI.

Logan Graham and Evan Barron each had two RBI for the Pirates.

Ceige Crowley had three RBI for James Bowie in the rout.

The Pirates are now 11-3 overall and 6-0 in district competitio­n.

LINDEN, Texas–The Tigers got off to a bit of a sluggish start, but had a big fourth inning as they went on to blank the Wildcats.

Linden-Kildare got a 4-hit shutout from pitcher Caleb Cunningham, as he struck out 11 Wildcats.

Offensivel­y, Cunningham helped his own cause by going 3 for 3 with 4 RBI, which was all the run support he would need.

Nic Kunze was 2 for 2, and Marty Johnson went 2-3, and both added 2 RBI.

Garrett Hunter was 2 for 3 for the Wildcats in the loss.

GENOA, Ark.—The Lions defeated the Dragons in a game that turned out to be a pitcher's duel, with runs at a premium.

This game was tied 1-all before the Lions scored two runs in the top of the 5th inning for the margin of victory.

Lions' pitcher Wade Beasley (4-0) struck out 13 Dragons and threw a 1-hitter.

Dragons' pitcher Tyler Moreland (3-1) suffered his first loss of the season.

Dakota Frachiseur had two hits and 2 RBI for the Lions, with Zach Izzo also chipping in two hits. Tyler Moreland had a double for the Dragons in the loss.

DEKALB, Texas–The host Bears used a steady offensive attack en route to victory over the Tigers.

DeKalb scored two runs in each of the first four innings to take an 8-2 lead, before scoring one more in the sixth for the final margin of victory.

Wyatt Levergne and Clayton Graef batted in 2 runs a piece, and Colby Pennington and Tristen Jamison batted in a run each to lead the offense.

Fouke 9, Prescott 3

PRESCOTT, Ark.—Fouke evened its 7-3A Conference record at 2-2 with a win over the host Curley Wolves.

The Panthers (9-5) were led by Brayden Larey with three singles, Ethan Hines had a triple and single, Lane Coker two singles, and Austin Burris added a single and scored twice.

Austin Lawrence pitched six innings and struck out five in notching the win. Tyler Rucker took the loss.

Queen City 4, New Boston 3

QUEEN CITY, Texas—The Bulldogs edged out the Lions late at home.

Ray Cook received the win for Queen City (13-5, 5-1). Jordan Wiley, Robert Hill and Kyle Parker each collected one hit for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs are back in action at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, traveling to Redwater.
