L-E qualifies three track teams for finals

AUSTIN—Liberty-Eylau qualified for the finals with all three of its relay teams at the Texas Relays Saturday.

Lauren George, Helensia Green, Skylier Bailey and Lamiah George posted the state’s fastest time in Class 4A in the 4x400 with a 3:54.38.

The 4x200 team of Bailey, Ronnece Galloway, George, and Green finished fourth in the 4x200. L-E’s 4x100 team crossed the line in seventh.

Galloway and Taoni Reynolds qualified for individual events in the first open meter dash and 100 meter hurdles, respective­ly.

The Lady Leopards will be back in action this Thursday at the Annual Mickey Mayne Relays in Daingerfie­ld, Texas.

Subvarsity Baseball FOUKE 12, LIBERTY-EYLAU 4; FOUKE 10, LIBERTY-EYLAU 3

FOUKE, Ark.—Dillon Richardson got the win in the first game, and teammate Nick Scoggins pitched for the win in the second as Fouke’s junior boys won a pair of games over the Leopards’ junior varsity.

Hunter Daugherty doubled and singled for the Panthers. Blake Uncel had two doubles and scored two runs for Fouke.

The Panthers’ Chance Crabtree smacked three singles and stole two bases, while teammate Aric Avila laced in a pair of singles.

Late Baseball HUGHES SPRINGS 7, REDWATER 3

REDWATER, Texas—Harrison Reagan went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI as the Mustangs defeated the Dragons in a District 14-3A game Friday.

Riley McKinney, Garrett Golden, and Triston Hickey each had RBI singles for Hughes Springs.

Ryan Seddens doubled and scored a run for the Dragons, while teammate Seth Lathrop smacked a 2-run single.

Brayden Ross had an RBI single, and Drew Howard singled and scored a run for Redwater.

Redwater (9-7, 4-2) hosts Queen City at 7:30 Tuesday in a District 14-3A game.
