Redwater romps past Daingerfield

DAINGERFIELD,Texas—Redwater’s baseball squad defeated Daingerfield on the road, 18-3.

Taylor Dye recieved the win on the hill for the Dragons.

Ryan Seddens was 2 for 2 at the plate for Redwater, chipping in two RBI as well.

Seth Lathrop and Jamey Vaitkus, both went 2 for 3 and added two RBI for the Dragons.

Brayden Ross led Redwater in the RBI department with three and also went 2 for 5 at the plate.

Redwater is 11-7 overall and 6-2 in district competition.

NEW BOSTON 6, DeKALB 2

DEKALB, Texas—New Boston held on late to defeat De Kalb in a district showdown, 6-2.

Jake Bobbitt received the win on the mound for the Lions. Bobbitt also went 2 for 3 and added a RBI in the contest.

Tyler Graham and Gage Smith, both garnered two hits and an RBI.

The Lions are 12-5 overall and 6-2 in district action.

New Boston is back on the field Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., hosting Hughes Springs.

KAUFMAN, Texas—Atlanta captured first place in the varsity boys divison with 170 points. The Lady Rabbits placed second in the girls divison scoring 132 points.

GIRLS

Star Davis won the pole vault with a total height of 8-0.

Keyona Easter and Haley Sprayberry, placed second and third respectively, both clearing 4-10 in the high jump.

Easter placed third in the triple jump with a distance of 34-3.

The Lady Rabbs (Richonda Harris, Keyona Easter, Alyssa Simmons and Aniya King) won the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:44.87.

Atlanta (Aniya King, Keyona Easter, Alyssa Simmons, Richonda Harrs) placed second in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 49.59.

India Cooper won the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 49.59.

Daniela Arredondo placed third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:05.06.

Jasmine Moore placed second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.45.

Hannah Wicks placed second in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:44.27.
