Clarksville places six on honor team, including co-Most Valuable Players
Clarksville led the way in superlatives, earning four, while McLeod and LindenKildare offered two each on the boys 15-2A all-district basketball team.
Clarksville swept the MVP department with seniors Clashon Gaffney and Rayzon Allen, both finishing at the top of MVP selections. Senior Quinton Wallace was the offensive player of the year and Willie Coulter was Coach of the Year.
Freshman Tay Johnson of Linden-Kildare was selected newcomer of the year. Sophomore Ty Patterson was selected as co-sixth man of the year.
Senior J.R. Smith of McLeod, was selected as defensive player of the year. Sophomore Blake Williams was selected as co-6th man of the year.
Linden-Kildare seniors Marcus Jones and Cortez Peterson, and junior Ja’Kevian Rose were selected to the first team.
Clarksville senior DeTavian Lewis and junior Ranzae Daniels were selected to the first team.
Avery senior Kort Bowles was a first-team selection.
James Bowie senior Cody Roberson was named to the first team.
Rounding out the first team included Maud junior Gage Jones and McLeod senior Colby Smith.
