Texas High romps past Pine Tree, 13-1

LONGVIEW, Texas—Texas High made easy work of Pine Tree, dominating the District 6-5A contest, 13-1, Friday night.

Connor Allred led the Tigers’ hitters with a double, two singles, and two RBI. Chris Sutton added a triple and two RBI, while Jakob Hearn and Cole Crispen each had a single.

Pine Tree was kept off the scoreboard until the fifth inning when Michael Johnson hit a single that brought in the Pirates’ only run before the game ended on a mercy rule.

Walker Davis (4-2) pitched all five innings for the Tigers with assistance from Jordan Thomas.
