Oliver hits walk-off for Fouke

Lady Panthers take third in the 7-3A tournament

HORATIO, Ark.—Mallory Oliver hit a 2-run, walk-off double to center field as Fouke defeated Centerpoin­t 8-7 to earn third place in the 7-3A softball tournament.

Mallory Oliver was 3 for 4 with a run scored and 2 RBI for Fouke, while teammate Jade Perry hammered a 2-run homer, was 2 for 4 and scored a run.

Faith Steffler singled in the seventh frame for the Panthers, and teammate Callie Oliver smacked a single. The runners were on second and third when Mallory Oliver clubbed the game-winning double.

Crysta Larey was 3 for 4 with a pair of singles, a double and an RBI for Fouke.

HOOKS, Texas—Hooks scored a pair of runs in the seventh frame and edged Redwater to earn second place in District 14-3A.

Carter Duncan earned the win on the hill for the Hornets. Connor Price singled, doubled and had an RBI, Scott Satterfiel­d hit a pair of singles and had 2 RBI, and Phillip Moore had two singles for the Hornets.

Seth Lathrop laced in two singles and had 3 RBI for the Dragons.

Dylan Pool threw a 3-hitter for Hooks in the win over New Boston. Seth Mahar paced the Hornets with two singles.

New Boston pitcher Jake Bobbitt tossed a 3-hitter and took the hard-luck loss.

Redwater finished in fourth place and plays Winnsboro in a 1-game playoff at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Harleton.

Hooks (15-9) plays Prairiland at Pittsburg High School Friday at 6:30 p.m. in a best-of-3 series. Game 2 is Saturday at 11 a.m., and Game 3, if needed, will be played after a 30-minute intermissi­on. LINDEN-KILDARE 10, McLEOD 0

LINDEN, Texas—Caleb Cunningham, Trent Wert and Trey Schuler combined for a 3-hitter as each gave up just one hit, and the Tigers run-ruled the Longhorns, 10-0, at Jim Grubbs Field.

Schuler was 3 for 3 with an RBI and scored two runs for Linden-Kildare. Teammates Wert, Traccer Henry, and Dalton Alford each scored a pair of runs.

Nic Kunze, Alford, Cunningham, and Henry had an RBI apiece for the Tigers.

Linden-Kildare (15-9, 10-4) finished third in District 17-2A and plays Cumby in the bi-district playoffs.
