Two arrested in burglary investigation
Richardson Waste had property stolen in two break-ins
Two men have been charged in back-to-back burglaries of Richardson Waste in Fouke, Ark. Jordan Hensley, 26, and Brandon Burns, 22, are accused in the thefts of the commercial business March 27-28, according to a search warrant affidavit used to create the following account. Miller County Sheriff’s Office deputies responding to the first call from Richardson Waste staff March 27 discovered that thieves gained access to the property by cutting a barbed wire fence on the back side of the property, which is adjacent to Buckshot Hunting Club. Pressure washers, ignition keys for four semitractor-trailers, CB radios, twoway radios, wheels for a Jeep and other items were taken.
A search revealed that the suspects had hidden some of the stolen goods in woods nearby. The pressure washers and truck ignition keys were not recovered.
On the same day, a Fouke resident who lives near Richardson Waste reported the attempted theft of a motorcycle. The resident told deputies he found the motorcycle, which had been parked beneath his carport, about 75 yards from his home in the woods and covered in pine
straw. Located near the motorcycle was a pawn ticket with blood stains and the name of a “known associate” of Hensley’s who has not been charged in the case.
On March 28, deputies were again called to Richardson Waste. During the second investigation, it was discovered the suspects entered the office of the company by breaking out a front window. A substantial amount of fresh blood on broken glass and other areas of the office led investigators to conclude that whoever had broken the window was injured in the process.
During the second burglary, the recorder for the business’ security cameras was taken along with a circular saw, a twoway radio and a grass trimmer.
Sheriff’s investigators learned Hensley had sought treatment about 1 a.m. March 28 for numerous cuts on his hands and arms. When hospital staff asked him how he acquired the cuts, Hensley allegedly left the hospital without treatment.
At about 2:30 p.m. March 28, staff at Richardson Waste notified the Sheriff’s Office that two men had been seen near the cut fence between the hunting club and Richardson. The men allegedly grabbed something from the woods and threw it in the trunk of a car before speeding away.
Hensley and Burns have been charged with theft of property and breaking and entering.
