James Bowie overcomes Carlisle, 6-0 and 9-2, on Friday

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—James Bowie punched its ticket to the baseball regional quarterfinal playoffs with 6-0 and 9-2 wins over Carlisle Friday at O.L. Colley Field at Mount Pleasant High School.

Bailey Obenoskey scattered five hits, and did not allow a run as James Bowie defeated Carlisle

Caige Crowley 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBI for the Pirates, while teammate Dalton McBride was 2 for 4, tripled, and had 2 RBI.

Evan Barron gave up six hits and two runs and earned the win for James Bowie in Game 2.

Obenoskey was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI in Game 2, Crowley hit a pair of doubles, went 2 for 3 and drove in two runs for the Pirates.

James Bowie's Logan Graham was 2 for 4 with a double, and teammate McBride added two singles. Barron smacked a 2-run triple for the Pirates.

James Bowie (20-4) plays Union Grove in the regional quarterfinals in a bestof-3 series all at Mount Pleasant High School. Game 1 is 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Game 2 is at 6:30 Friday, and a third game, if needed, will be played at 2 p.m. Saturday.
