MARY COWLEY

Mary Katherine Cowley, age 95 of New Boston, Texas passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 in a local nursing facility. Mrs. Cowley was born September 9, 1921 in Pecan Gap, Texas. She was a Homemaker, member of Red Bayou United Methodist Church, New Boston and is preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Cowley, Sr.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing, camping, quilting, playing cards, and most of all, cooking Sunday dinners at her house with family and friends. She loved the Lord and always shared her faith with others.

Survivors include three sons and 2 daughters in law, Robert D. Jr. and Betty Cowley of Texarkana, Texas, John O. and Kay Cowley of Hooks, Texas, Larry O. Cowley and special friend Charlene Poole, of New Boston, Texas, two daughters and 2 sons in law, Dorothy and Billy Jack Sheridan of New Boston, Texas, Sandra and Eddie Avery of New Boston, Texas, 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 7 great, great grandchildren, 3 sisters in law, Ruby Burleson, Helen Cowley, and Margie Osborn, and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, New Boston with Rev. Ronnie Pipes and Rev. John Barfield officiating. Interment will be in Red Bayou Cemetery, New Boston, Texas under the direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home, New Boston.
