Tara Denise Batrice passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at her home in Louisville, Kentucky. She was 41.

Tara was born June 5, 1975, in Texarkana, Texas, to Charles Richard Blackburn and Carolyn Jane Crouch Ferguson. She was a Microbiolo­gy Technician, a Homemaker and a Baptist.

She is preceded in death by grandparen­ts, Robert and Edna Blackburn and a sisterinSa­mia Baidoun.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Nathan Batrice of Louisville, Kentucky; two sons, Hayden Jacob Batrice and Ethan Graham Batrice of Louisville, Kentucky; mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Wayne Ferguson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; father and stepmother, Ricky and Monica Blackburn of De Kalb, Texas; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Kevin and Linda Blackburn of Arlington, Texas, Elias and Nisreen Anthony of Ft. Worth, Texas and Christophe­r Ferguson of Longview, Texas; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Lin and Jay McKissick of Austin, Texas, Cassie Blackburn of De Kalb, Texas and Audrey Ferguson of Naples, Texas; grandparen­ts, Clifford and Bernice Crouch of Avery, Texas; father-inlaw and mother-in-law, Nabil and Suad Mtanis of Haifa, Israel; nephews, Drake Blackburn of Arlington, Texas, Nabil Anthony and Christina Anthony both of Ft. Worth, Texas, Charlie Ferguson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas and Rani Baidoun of Haifa, Israel and numerous other family members and friends.

Services will be 3:15 PM Monday, June 5, 2017 at First Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas with Blake Hodges, Rev. James Sparks and Rev. Justin Coburn officiatin­g. Interment will follow at West Bowie Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until time of service Monday, June 5, 2017 at First Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas.
