Tyler Moreland picked up the RBI on a groundout to second, and Bobbitt struck out the next batter to strand a runner at third.

Texarkana batted around in the second, plating six more on five hits and an error.

Pool C Arkadelphia Badgers 8, East Texas Broncos 7

It was a battle to the end. Arkadelphia fought back to win 8-7 after nine innings of play at Tiger Field at Texas High.

East Texas dominated the game early, putting up four runs in the third frame.

The Broncos made quick work of the Badgers in the first two innings, allowing only two hits and no runs.

It was Carson Smith’s third inning single to right that started Arkadelphia’s slow crawl back into the game, trailing East Texas 4-1.

The Badgers cut the margin to two in the next inning as Turner Pentecost was batted home by Alec Ruble with a hit to left field.

A costly error by the Badgers in the fifth inning allowed Cody Roberson to get on base for East Texas. A way home for Roberson was provided by a Carter Duncan bullet past the pitcher to make the contest 5 to 2.

Joe Rocole smashed a single to right to bring Alec Lewis across the plate for Arkadelphia, decreasing the game the two one more.

Right on cue the Broncos bucked back with two runs, Marquiz Estell and Isaac Whittington to make it 7-3 in favor of East Texas.

The Badgers were prevented from crossing home plate in the sixth.

The fourth inning gave Arkadelphia the momentum it needed to tie things up 7-7 in the seventh and force extra innings; all four runs scored came off walks with bases loaded. Dalton Guthrie and Pentecost had the only two singles of the inning.

The match stayed knotted till the 9th when Lewis hit a sacrifice fly to left field to score Smith.
